We Become One (with the sea)

I am everything I'm expecting today
like a windy breeze by the ocean's seas
they make brash remarks and scoff at me
but I just smile so it's the last thing they see
and I watch for currents to drag me away
below the sky and the bottom of the waves
oh how it feels to finally be okay
everything's the way I expected today

When I wake up I'll be at the bottom
finding the sand bar around my feet
and I'll sink and sink and sink
until I become one with the sea

I am everything expected yesterday
words unspoken left bruised and broken
silent in the corner with nothing to say
waiting for a current to drag us away
we let the salt fill up our pours
and we talk like we use to before
the water filled our lungs and we couldn't speak
but we never have to say anything

When we wake up we'll be at the bottom
finding the sand bar around our feet
and we'll sink and sink and sink
until we become one with the sea

we drown in the deepest blue we've ever known
so peaceful out here because we're all alone
and the tides they always come and go
but we are one and we are whole
we become one with the deep blue sea
no one will find us it's just you and me
so don't worry because there's nothing to fear
it was all of our fate that brought us here
because

When we wake up we'll be at the bottom
finding the sand bar around our feet
and we'll sink and sink and sink
until we become one with the sea
we become one with the sea
we become one with the sea (no one will find us it's just you and me)
we become one with the sea
