We Become One (with the sea)

I am everything I'm expecting today
like a windy breeze by the ocean's seas
they make brash remarks and scoff at me
but I just smile so it's the last thing they see
and I watch for currents to drag me away
below the sky and the bottom of the waves
oh how it feels to finally be okay
everything's the way I expected today

When I wake up I'll be at the bottom
finding the sand bar around my feet
and I'll sink and sink and sink
until I become one with the sea

I am everything expected yesterday
words unspoken left bruised and broken
silent in the corner with nothing to say
waiting for a current to drag us away
we let the salt fill up our pours
and we talk like we use to before
the water filled our lungs and we couldn't speak
but we never have to say anything

When we wake up we'll be at the bottom
finding the sand bar around our feet
and we'll sink and sink and sink
until we become one with the sea

we drown in the deepest blue we've ever known
so peaceful out here because we're all alone
and the tides they always come and go
but we are one and we are whole
we become one with the deep blue sea
no one will find us it's just you and me
so don't worry because there's nothing to fear
it was all of our fate that brought us here
because

When we wake up we'll be at the bottom
finding the sand bar around our feet
and we'll sink and sink and sink
until we become one with the sea
we become one with the sea
we become one with the sea (no one will find us it's just you and me)
we become one with the sea

"Tell Me What You Know"

Did you hear the news
about the boy in blue
black and blue
his name was you
and me I feel safe
in new skin of sane
but I'll never be the same
but can you blame
me for all that was done
and when I'm gone
what will become
of all this sun

because I'm burning bright
for the first time
look at my glow
tell me what you know
because I'm so curious
and filled anxious
from head to toe
tell me what you know

Did you find your way
from night to day
without words to say
what about me
and you are true
if only you knew
of things I do
when I'm not with you
looking back now
it's a question of how
did it work out
when there's so much doubt

because I'm burning bright
for the first time
look at my glow
tell me what you know
because I'm so curious
and filled anxious
from head to toe
tell me what you know
tell me what you know

I'm everything between
make believe and dream
tell me what you see
because it's not me
and you are someone new
someone I never knew
you're one in a few
but you're not you
so take a step back
and see that it's fact
and a little bit sad
for everything you never had

because I'm burning bright
for the first time
look at my glow
tell me what you know
because I'm so curious
and filled anxious
from head to toe
tell me what you know

because I'm burning bright
for the first time
look at my glow
tell me what you know
because I'm so curious
and filled anxious
from head to toe
tell me what you know

WORLD WAR THR33

The oil exchange is for the blood of soldiers
to a man that can't speak simply past his own lips
while mothers and fathers are setting up funerals
sons and daughters deploy off on ships
to one day return in coffins or dog tags
missing in action or a prisoner of war
while the nation grieves while lighting candles
we all wounder what we're actually there for

W.W. 3
clap your hands for what this has become
you've destroyed us before but never again
I'm surprised you weren't assassinated
by the ones who stood tall next to your mark
while the buildings fell burning into the dark
what a mess has been made in the aftermath
kill you like you do to us in Iraq

You're a leader they say
it's bullshit.
you've doomed us all
you've killed us all...

Shallow Life

Do we walk the streets where glass is shattered
to avoid the highways in which traffic flows?
the stops lights are now spelling out my name
so I walk along until there's no more red
I chatter my teeth in intense conversation
while I wear my heart right out on my sleeve
I'll cover it with a jacket so no one will ask
if I'm uncomfortable with the way I live

Do we build skyscrapers to compensate for something less
or is it all a big plan for something more?
it's too big to express, but we do our best
so we continue to build and build and build
the clouds are now our neighbors up in this height
and I can see the faces that form within them
they stare a blank until I focus on shadows
scoffing at me as I play my songs

swallow the knife of the shallow life
I'm hovering like a duck in the water
but the wolf is waiting for me on the waters edge
and I don't see him leaving anytime soon
so I'll sink and drown so I won't have to face him

"Immune"

Slept all through the day so I'm wide awake
over thinking about things that'll fill my day
a shitty job without a car to drive
bumming the lift from cars that pass by
it's getting early and sleep hasn't stolen me
this will be the pattern to finish out my week
until Sunday comes and I'll push it aside
cuddled up in bed with the love of my life

these pills aren't working I'm afraid I've become immune
and I don't know what kind of damage they're capable to do

Am I going crazy?
the Sun is asleep and that's where I should be
I haven't dreamed lately
but I know the nightmares are inside waiting for me

So here I sit with my guitar in my hands
quietly I'll play the first notes that come to my head
thinking about my love that sleeps all night
my love that will one day be my bride
my thoughts deliver such a mess of me
black out my eyes so I can fall asleep
but that's not happening anytime soon
for I am awake and there's nothing I can do

these pills aren't working I'm afraid I've become immune
and I don't know what kind of damage they're capable to do

Am I going crazy?
the Sun is asleep and that's where I should be
I haven't dreamed lately
but I know the nightmares are inside waiting for me

these pills are immune to me
do I really need them or is more money
for the doctor to diagnose me
I'm normal enough to be crazy
I'm normal enough to be...

Am I going crazy?
the Sun is asleep and that's where I should be
I haven't dreamed lately
but I know the nightmares are inside waiting for me

I'm immune
I'm immune
I'm immune

A New Bed For Me

graveyards never look so lonely before
the night time has made this coffin my home
it's cold inside, but warmer than the air
I think I can sleep here all year
so forgive me relatives of people I've never met
a mortal is about to bunk up and pay the rent
so we can live together in a peaceful place
but never be afraid to ask me to leave
for I am intruding on your afterlife affairs
and I understand if you never want me there
just one day I hope the worms can crawl out of my skull
in this same spot, I'd like to rest in this world

so kill me now...

...I'm all ready for it now.

Everything Was Your...

Two Winter's straight down the drain
lying in a bed next to you my darling dear
how awful were those words I've spoken
when it came to you and the notes were clear
did you see me lip syncing the whole scene?
did you notice the worms crawling underneath?
did you think I'd just shut my mouth at once?
did you think I'd come running back into your arms?

well you've been crazy since 1988
the year of your birth over the decades
it's not the good sense, more of an insult
but just know in the end everything was your fault

they all said they didn't blame me at all
for running out on you the way I did
and if I could go back I'd do it again
there'd be no difference at all in it
because I'm lip syncing the whole scene
I'm the worms crawling underneath
I'm not shutting my mouth all at once
I'm never running back into your arms

well you've been crazy since 1988
the year of your birth over the decades
it's not the good sense, more of an insult
but just know in the end everything was your fault

so if you cry tonight I won't care
I've never once made an effort to be there
just figured you'd get it all for yourself
never thought you'd ever need help
so pile my letters and pictures up tall
take seven nights a week to go through them all
burn them all, burn them all
burn them all, burn them all
because you've got nowhere to go
but into the ground
where the worms can feast at your organs
and feed off their young
so they can become big and strong
unlike you...

well you've been crazy since 1988
the year of your birth over the decades
it's not the good sense, more of an insult
but just know in the end everything was your fault

you've been crazy since 1988
the year of your birth over the decades
it's not the good sense, more of an insult
but just know in the end everything was your fault
everything was your fault
everything was your fault...
everything was your fault.
